Assist Underwriters and Originators within the multi-family agency real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage electronic transaction files in accordance with company policies.
- Facilitate and engage in conference calls for all assigned projects.
- Monitor and coordinate the gathering of due diligence documents from clients as per established guidelines.
- Request, track, and conduct preliminary assessments of third-party specialist reports.
- Request, evaluate, and discuss credit reports, zoning documentation, and flood certificates with Underwriters.
- Collaborate with Underwriters to ensure the company's pipeline reflects the most current information.
- Track all transaction-related expenses and provide timely updates to the Closer.
- Assist in the preparation of submission materials for each assigned project.
- Communicate promptly and accurately with external partners, including clients, legal representatives, title agents, and other necessary parties to ensure smooth execution.
- Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
(Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field preferred.
- Experience with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae multi-family transactions is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A college degree is preferred and may substitute for prior experience in mortgage loan processing.
- Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Acrobat.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
- Capability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
