Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive timely and professional service during the registration process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interviews and Data Collection: Conduct thorough interviews with patients to obtain demographic and financial information, as well as minimum health information, to ensure accurate and compliant patient registration and billing.
  • Point of Service Data Collection: Collect patient co-payments and down payments, reconcile the cash drawer, and report daily deposit records to ensure accurate accounting of revenue.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Maintain all assigned work queues, interact positively with patients and coworkers, and provide highest level of customer service.
  • Sanitization and Supply Management: Sanitize registration equipment between each use and restock basic supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Patient Access Representative or Patient Scheduler experience preferred.
Work Environment

This role is part of a dynamic team that provides exceptional patient care and service. As a Patient Access Representative, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, coworkers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless registration and scheduling processes.
