Position Overview
Under general oversight, the Nursing Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing daily staffing requirements across all nursing departments during a designated shift. This includes scheduling the necessary personnel to ensure safe and effective nursing care.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Staff Coordination**: Implements and oversees daily staffing schedules for inpatient nursing units, taking into account patient census, acuity levels, skill mix needs, and the availability of both regular and temporary nursing staff.
2. **Communication Management**: Receives and logs communications from nursing staff that affect staffing levels, promptly relaying any scheduling changes to nursing supervisors and unit personnel.
3. **Patient Flow Monitoring**: Coordinates and tracks patient movement throughout hospital units to optimize care delivery.
4. **Data Management**: Maintains comprehensive records regarding staff and unit metrics to aid in the planning and execution of daily nursing staffing strategies.
5. **Reporting**: Prepares and disseminates various reports, including unit schedules, productivity metrics, attendance records, license monitoring, and turnover statistics.
6. **License Monitoring**: Keeps track of nursing licenses and CPR certifications, issuing reminders as necessary.

Additional Duties
The Nursing Staffing Coordinator may perform other related tasks as needed to support the nursing department.
