Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a PTA, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Explain physical therapy procedures and equipment to patients and check for understanding
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy interventions, modalities, and home exercise programs
- Document patient care services by charting in EMR according to guidelines in a timely manner
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and practice
- Implement patient treatment plans with guidance from Physical Therapist
- Report all changes to patient's condition to the Physical Therapist as immediacy dictates
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledgeable of state practice acts and ensures the level of supervision they receive meets standards
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
