Physical Therapy Assistant

We are a comprehensive physical therapy practice with a strong emphasis on manual therapy and orthopedic physical therapy. Our team of experienced physical therapists and physical therapy assistants work together to provide individualized care to patients of all ages and orthopedic conditions.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide treatment to patients, instruct patients and families in physical therapy interventions, and document patient care services.
Responsibilities- Provide treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Explain physical therapy procedures and equipment to patients and check for understanding
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy interventions, modalities, and home exercise programs
- Document patient care services by charting in EMR according to guidelines in a timely manner
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and practice
- Implement patient treatment plans with guidance from Physical Therapist
- Report all changes to patient's condition to the Physical Therapist as immediacy dictates
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledgeable of state practice acts and ensures the level of supervision they receive meets standards
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
- Graduate from a Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant in California
- 1+ years of experience as a PTA, outpatient experience preferred
- Current CPR Certification
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans
