Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating and executing procurement strategies to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of indirect materials.
  • Identifying and assessing potential suppliers, conducting evaluations, and negotiating contracts to secure cost-effective and favorable terms.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to understand their needs and provide procurement guidance and support.
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationships with current suppliers, monitoring their performance, and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Analyzing market trends, industry changes, and supplier capabilities to uncover opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Utilizing procurement systems to monitor purchases, manage budgets, and produce reports on procurement activities and outcomes.
  • Engaging in cross-departmental teams and initiatives to support organizational objectives.
  • Keeping updated on best practices in procurement, supply chain management, and industry trends to continuously enhance procurement processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience: At least 7 years in procurement, particularly in indirect materials within a manufacturing context.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional negotiation and supplier management abilities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
    • Understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and market dynamics.
  • Certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are advantageous.
