About the Role:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive buying strategy to meet sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Research and identify emerging trends, categories, and promotional campaigns to inform buying decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendor partners and scout new vendors to seek growth opportunities.
- Negotiate product costs and quantities with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and inventory management.
- Track and analyze sales data to identify best and worst-selling styles and brands, and adapt in-season and future season strategies accordingly.
- Travel to fashion trade shows and markets as needed to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in fashion buying or merchandising.
- Strong passion for fashion and trends, with a keen eye for detail and a stats-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven track record of delivering sales targets and driving business growth.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in retail/wholesale math and inventory management.
- MUST be authorized to work in the US.
