Job Overview:
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Operations Coordinator for the Men's Basketball program. This position plays a crucial role in the daily management and organization of a competitive Division I men's basketball team, situated in Providence, Rhode Island, as part of the Ivy League.
Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Coordinator will report directly to the Head Coach of Men's Basketball and will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the daily operations and logistical planning for the Men's Basketball program.
- Assisting the Head Coach in various operational tasks and promotional activities.
- Ensuring compliance with NCAA, Ivy League, and institutional regulations, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Coordinating team travel arrangements and schedules.
- Fostering positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate's Degree or a combination of relevant education and experience; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in basketball operations, coaching, or collegiate playing; Division I experience is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and independently.
- A commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive environment.
