Job Summary

Physician Assistants (PAs) provide high-quality patient care services in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Under physician supervision, PAs deliver comprehensive care in primary care or specialty departments, adhering to Regional Practice Guidelines and Protocols. They perform thorough physical examinations, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and establish and document patient care plans. PAs consistently demonstrate exceptional service skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect subjective and objective data to develop comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective management plans, including pharmacologic interventions and educational strategies.
  • Facilitate patient referrals to community resources and health facilities.
  • Manage patient care for complex medical or surgical conditions, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Support compliance with Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program or accredited RN and NP Program.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Nurse Practitioner National Certificate, or Physician Assistant License (California) and Physician Assistant National Certificate.
  • Basic Life Support and National Provider Identifier.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of Cardiac Surgery experience.
  • Minimum two years of EVH experience.
