Position Summary:

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with potential clients to identify their business objectives and illustrate how Imply can enhance their analytics solutions and workflows. You will be an integral part of the account team, tasked with acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and facilitating value realization initiatives such as proof of concepts and implementations. You will serve as a technical intermediary and influence our product development based on customer feedback and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the American account team to assess customer data pipeline requirements, devise solutions, and assist throughout the sales process.
  • Clarify data modeling principles and industry best practices for internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Identify data modeling scenarios and propose alternatives to clients that enable Imply to function at peak efficiency.
  • Support the broader account team in a technical capacity, including but not limited to establishing ETL processes, scripting in Python or Bash, and configuring resources and permissions in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Manage technical demonstration environments, ensuring effective data generation and infrastructure optimization.
  • Provide insights for enhancing our product's capabilities and addressing any limitations.

Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for big data, data architectures, and high-speed analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in big data and/or streaming technologies, with at least 1 year in customer-facing roles.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of distributed databases, data warehousing methodologies, data modeling, and ETL tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of how various structures contribute to database optimization.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Expertise in a minimum of two big data technologies such as Kafka, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Kinesis, or Presto/Trino.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of at least one programming language, including Bash, Java, or Python.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information and technical value to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Druid open-source database.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Proven track record of delivering value through MEDDIC or similar sales methodologies.
  • Experience in optimizing batch, streaming, and query strategies.
