Role Responsibilities
The Municipal Engineer will play a crucial role in fostering client relationships and representing the firm in various municipal engagements. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with municipal officials to assess and address community needs.
- Representing the firm at public meetings as the municipal engineering representative.
- Overseeing plan reviews for land development projects.
- Ensuring compliance of construction projects with municipal standards.
- Managing and designing essential infrastructure projects, including roadways and utilities.
- Preparing and reviewing bid specifications and overseeing construction management.
- Creating project proposals, contracts, and comprehensive reports.
- Engaging in client and project management activities.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- A minimum of seven years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in municipal project design and management.
- Proven track record in client relationship management and business development.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is preferred.
- Willingness to attend evening meetings as required.
- Valid driver's license for travel to client sites.
- Ability to obtain necessary clearances.
