Horticulture Technician

Position: Cultivation Technician

Reporting Structure:

• Directly accountable to the Cultivation Supervisors and Team Leads, with additional guidance from the Assistant Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Manager.

Work Hours:

• Monday to Friday (No Weekends)
  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Potential for early or late start times based on the Cultivation Production Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the quality of all produced items is maintained.
• Uphold a tidy and organized workspace.
• Document all sanitation processes in the designated logs.
• Perform daily plant care tasks such as pruning and trellising.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency in veg, flower, and drying rooms.
  • Regularly sweep and mop floors.
  • Clear all leaves from trays.
  • Log and dispose of waste at the end of each day.
• Monitor and record all grow room data as instructed.
• Assist in transplanting and harvesting plants.
• Clean and prepare lifts for use.
• Report any leaks or malfunctioning equipment.
• Participate in overall facility cleanliness, including room resets.
• Undertake additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
• Possess a genuine and positive attitude.
• Demonstrate a solid work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
• Excellent listening skills are essential.
• Knowledge of cannabis is preferred.
• Experience in plant care or horticulture is advantageous.
• Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license or state ID is required.
• Successful completion of all necessary background checks.
• Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Compliance with all legal and company regulations is mandatory.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 30+ pounds of equipment/materials/products (100 pounds with assistance).
• This role may involve extended periods of standing or moving.
• Comfortable working in varying conditions, including high temperatures and humidity.
• Ability to work on lifts or heavy equipment at heights exceeding 6 feet.
