About the RoleThe CMT Technician performs a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting testing and providing assessment of data through reporting
- Operating testing equipment and maintaining detailed documentation and data from test results
- Communicating effectively with clients and project teams
- Maintaining awareness of and adhering to safety practices and policies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two or more years of construction materials testing/inspection experience
- Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal and written communication
- Ability to read and understand work plans
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
The role requires:
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make discriminations in sound
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Preferred qualifications include:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- ACI/ICC/TNDOT certifications
