About the Role

The CMT Technician performs a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting testing and providing assessment of data through reporting
  • Operating testing equipment and maintaining detailed documentation and data from test results
  • Communicating effectively with clients and project teams
  • Maintaining awareness of and adhering to safety practices and policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two or more years of construction materials testing/inspection experience
  • Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read and understand work plans
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
Physical Requirements

The role requires:

  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make discriminations in sound
  • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • ACI/ICC/TNDOT certifications
