U-Haul Storage Center Manager Job Description

U-Haul is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to manage one of our moving and storage centers. As a Storage Center Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the center's profit and loss, including tracking inventory and fuel receipts.
  • Hire and mentor new team members to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Ensure the fleet is well-maintained and clean, and manage the personnel budget.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customers receive the highest quality of care.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail or a service industry with financial results and customer satisfaction accountability.
  • Computer expertise and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions. May be required to use protective clothing or gear.

The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
