The Surgical Technologist (ST) is a vital member of the perioperative team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support services in the operating room. As a key contributor to the success of our healthcare organization, the ST will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and efficient surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the safe handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain operating room equipment, supplies, and instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure efficient and effective patient care, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative care, and post-operative recovery.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care.
- High School graduate or equivalent and completion of a formal Surgical Technology Training Program or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a surgical setting, with 2-4 years of experience preferred.
The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, rotating shifts as assigned by the Nurse Manager. Call is assigned on a rotating basis.
