Position Overview:
The Healthcare Financial Analyst will be responsible for evaluating financial data pertinent to healthcare services and operations. This role encompasses analyzing financial performance, forecasting budgets, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust financial background coupled with a comprehensive understanding of medical and healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Examine healthcare cost structures, revenue sources, and financial performance indicators.
  • Identify trends and discrepancies in financial data and compile detailed reports.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for various healthcare departments and services.
  • Create financial forecasts and models to project future financial outcomes.
  • Assist in formulating financial plans and strategic objectives.
  • Analyze and manage costs associated with medical procedures, equipment, and personnel.
  • Pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancements.
  • Monitor and report on expenditures related to healthcare initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance of financial practices and reports with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Prepare documentation for regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Support audit processes and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Gather and interpret financial data to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Utilize financial software and tools to analyze data trends and patterns.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist the finance team in financial planning and strategy formulation.
  • Effectively communicate financial findings and recommendations to non-financial staff.
Qualifications:
  • Education: An Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with healthcare finance systems and regulations is highly advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare financial management.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods, typically 8-10 hours.
Working Conditions:
  • This position will be conducted in a standard office environment.
  • Some travel may be necessary for meetings or training purposes.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
