The role of Financial Aid Officer is vital in facilitating the financial aid process for our students at the Atlanta Campus. This full-time position requires a collaborative team player with exceptional communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with students and their families to guide them through the federal aid application process, assisting with the completion of necessary forms and documentation.
  • Gather and verify all required documentation from students and parents, ensuring timely communication regarding any missing items.
  • Conduct verification of submitted information as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Determine and allocate appropriate financial aid awards, promptly notifying students and families of their eligibility.
  • Efficiently manage the setup of awards within the administrative software system.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial aid files for each student receiving assistance, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Certify eligibility for various funding sources, including grants, scholarships, and loans from federal, state, and private entities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant educational background.
  • Prior experience in Financial Aid or Accounting/Management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial aid software and systems is advantageous.
  • General understanding of accounting principles, data processing, and computer applications.
