We are seeking a skilled Interior Design Assistant to join our team at Galilee Lighting, a premier design studio specializing in bespoke chandeliers and custom lighting solutions.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their space, lighting needs, and aesthetic preferences. You will assist in configuring the perfect chandelier size, shape, and glass composition to ensure it fits harmoniously within the client's space and meets their functional lighting needs.

You will also produce detailed design drawings, sketches, and 3D models to visually communicate chandelier concepts and configurations to clients and our production team. Additionally, you will collaborate with lead designers to refine and finalize custom chandelier designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation: Work directly with clients to understand their space, lighting needs, and aesthetic preferences.
  • Custom Design Configuration: Assist in configuring the perfect chandelier size, shape, and glass composition.
  • Technical Drawings & 3D Models: Produce detailed design drawings, sketches, and 3D models.
  • Collaboration with Designers: Work closely with lead designers to refine and finalize custom chandelier designs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven experience as an Interior Design Assistant or in a similar design support role.
  • Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to guide clients through the design process.
  • A keen eye for design details and a strong understanding of how lighting and chandeliers can enhance interior spaces.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $68,800 per year, paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. You will also receive benefits, including paid national and Jewish holidays after 90 days, paid sick days after 1 year, paid PTO days after 1 year, and 401K plans with matching contributions after 1000 hours of work.
