Job Summary

The Personal Care Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting;
  • Assisting with ambulation, transferring, and positioning;
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment by following infection control procedures;
  • Performing light housekeeping duties, such as changing linens, dusting, and vacuuming;
  • Preparing meals and snacks, and assisting with grocery shopping;
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to clients;
  • Recording services rendered and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably as a Certified Nursing Assistant;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
