This requires a strong understanding of the business development lifecycle, as well as experience with proposal development and management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with government customers and industry partners.
- Execute business development lifecycle, including proposal development and management.
- Lead the identification and qualification of opportunities at the top of the opportunity funnel.
- Develop and execute capture plans, formulate a winning capture strategy, and obtain necessary resources.
- Coordinate and deliver on proposals to help win deals.
- Manage or support proposal development processes, including planning, organizing, and strategy development.
- Lead the development of internal teaming and capabilities gap analysis, competitive assessments, and win strategy.
- Conduct color reviews as part of the business development lifecycle.
- Schedule business case reviews, go/no-go, road-map, and related meetings with senior management.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a business development role with responsibilities to meet revenue, profit, and headcount objectives.
- Experience managing business development lifecycle, including relationship building and opportunity pipeline management.
- Experience with proposal development and management, preferably using the Shipley process.
- Experience in the Information Technology professional services sales lifecycle to the federal government, with systems engineering and technical assistance experience preferred.
- Experience with a wide variety of GWACS, including GSA Schedules and IDIQs with federal agencies, as well as experience with Deltek CRM and data analytics.
