We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller to join our team at Arrowhead Orthopaedics. As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical claims.
Key Responsibilities- Enter charges and other data into our electronic health record system
- Review superbills for accuracy and create changes for provider services
- Maintain logs for missing or incorrect services, durable medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and worker's compensation reports
- Investigate information needed to finalize billing process, including obtaining charge information from physicians
- Code information regarding procedures performed and diagnosis on charge
- Key charge information into online entry program and produce billing
- Assist with coding and error resolution
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD9, HCPCS, RBRVS, Medical Terminology, and Modifier 95 & 97 guidelines of E&M
- Strong communication and organizational skills
This position requires sitting and walking, with daily occasional stooping, reaching, and bending. Occasional lifting up to thirty pounds is also required.
We offer a competitive salary of $16-$21 per hour, depending on experience.
