Job Title: Medical Biller

Arrowhead Orthopaedics is seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Billing & Collections Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter charges and other data entry work with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review superbills for accuracy and create changes for provider services, meeting a minimum of 120 charges per 8-hour day.
  • Maintain logs for missing or incorrect services, Durable Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, and Worker's Compensation reports.
  • Investigate and finalize billing processes, including obtaining charge information from physicians.
  • Code information regarding procedures performed and diagnosis on charges.
  • Key charge information into online entry programs and produce billing.
  • Assist with coding and error resolution.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare setting, with a minimum of 2-5 years.
  • Proficiency in CPT, ICD9, HCPCS, RBRVS, Medical Terminology, and Modifier 95 & 97 guidelines of E&M.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

The Medical Biller will work primarily in the Billing & Collections Department, interacting with confidential patient and physician files. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism is essential.
