Position Overview:
The Evening Custodial Associate is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility during evening hours. This role also involves assisting with the setup, maintenance, and cleanup of events.

Compensation:
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $16 to $18.

The Saint Charles Convention Center is recognized as a premier full-service venue in the Saint Louis Metro Area. Managed by Oak View Group, it features 154,000 square feet of adaptable space suitable for events hosting between 10 and 3,000 attendees. The venue has received accolades such as the IAVM Venue Excellence Award and is celebrated as one of St. Louis' Top Workplaces.

Facility Highlights:
The center includes 1,200 complimentary parking spaces, 21 meeting rooms, two sophisticated ballrooms, and a versatile exhibit hall. In-house services encompass catering, experienced event coordination, audiovisual support, decoration, security, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate daily with the Facilities Manager or Operations Coordinators to receive and review tasks.
  • Play a vital role in ensuring the facility remains clean and visually appealing.
  • Regularly monitor restroom cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks as outlined in checklists and confirm completion.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues within the facility.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas.
  • Assist colleagues from other departments as required.
  • Utilize a communication device to coordinate event needs with staff.
  • Prepare and clean rooms according to operational guidelines.
  • Effectively manage post-event cleanup and waste disposal.
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and snow removal tools.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.

Qualifications:

  • Must be adaptable to changing circumstances, such as staffing or supply shortages.
  • Ability to work independently from general instructions with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in a service-oriented environment with the capacity to handle shifting priorities.
  • Capability to address public inquiries calmly and responsibly.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
