We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $110,000-$140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This role involves reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal and performing focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. The examiner will then document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.

This position performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, working in a clinical setting during normal business hours with a set schedule. No on-call work is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. You should also be proficient in using a computer and possess excellent time management skills.

You will be analyzing data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions. This requires strong analytical and communication skills.
