We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness Specialist to join our team at Starboard Cruise Services. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive talent management programs that drive business results and support the growth of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement full-cycle talent management processes to achieve business goals and create an internal bench of top talent.
- Consult with Manager of Shipboard HR to provide talent management and succession planning support for onboard Retail Management.
- Oversee corporate-wide processes, timelines, tools, and communications related to talent management, including objective setting, performance management, succession management, talent assessments, development planning, and talent pipelining.
- Collect, analyze, and present data from all talent management processes to inform targeted succession planning, development, and other action plans.
- Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including standards of performance and performance review deliverables.
- Ensure that organization-wide talent management and performance management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Partner closely with HRIS and total rewards team to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pools and derive insights through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels.
- Evaluate and provide input to needs assessment for training to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in delivering overall company goals.
- Support assessment of training effectiveness through talent calibrations and performance metrics.
- Manage annual engagement surveys, feedback, and action planning processes throughout the organization.
- Partner with L&D team to build, maintain, and socialize career pathing and talent development through GPS competencies.
- Define career pathing levels to increase internal Starboard mobility both laterally and vertically.
- 8+ years relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Proven ability to design and implement full-cycle performance management programs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Thorough understanding of HR best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to present ideas in easily understood, non-technical language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
