Position Overview: Culinary Specialist for Dietary Services

We are seeking a full-time Culinary Specialist to enhance our dedicated team. We value individuals who are enthusiastic about making a meaningful contribution to the community we support.

Primary Duties:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious, family-style meals for residents in a skilled nursing environment.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and assess non-supervisory staff in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
  • Implement supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • One year of experience in institutional food service as a cook is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and embody teamwork principles.
  • Should possess patience, tact, a positive demeanor, and enthusiasm, along with the capability to manage challenging scenarios.
  • Ability to effectively communicate residents' needs and conditions to supervisors or nursing staff.
