Distribution Operations Manager (LDP)

The Assistant Manager in the Distribution Center plays a crucial role in facilitating daily operations within their designated area. They undertake supervisory and managerial responsibilities in overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of both expendable and nonexpendable goods within the Distribution Center.

· Accountable for the recruitment, training, salary management, performance evaluation, coaching, mentoring, and corrective actions for direct reports. Collaborate with team members on professional development and goal setting. Serve as a champion for a committed and empowering culture within the Distribution Center, engaging with direct reports and team members to exemplify the company's core values.

· Strategically plan, monitor, and execute staffing schedules, making adjustments as necessary to ensure adequate staffing levels that align with operational demands and business needs.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives by actively listening to team feedback and customer insights, implementing root cause solutions.

· Identify and communicate evolving trends as revealed through analysis; collaborate with the team to cultivate a work environment that is responsive to the need for change.

· Oversee slotting, efficiency/productivity, and inventory management within the functional area, working closely with other assistant managers, supervisors, and the Distribution Center. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with these operations.

· Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating closely with IT, Maintenance, Security, HR, and Inventory teams to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

· Uphold a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with regulatory standards, including the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, as well as quality control practices.

LDP Framework: This is a structured 3-year program designed for veterans or individuals transitioning from military service. Assistant Managers in Training will rotate through the Distribution Center, Demand Planning, or Procurement, spending approximately 12-18 months in each area.
