Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented GI Scheduler to join our team at Tryon Medical Partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, and ensuring seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate referrals and scheduling with referring and receiving practices and/or departments.
  • Prepare financial estimates for patients and direct them to providers within their insurance plan.
  • Review benefits and educate patients on insurance coverage.
  • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments.
  • Review schedules and confirm accuracy to ensure proper time allocation.
  • Follow up on all referrals to prevent care gaps.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Thorough understanding of insurance coverage and Medical Necessity policies preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical records software preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
  • Ability to concentrate on details.
  • Use of computer for extended periods.
