Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated paralegal to provide comprehensive support within our legal division, focusing on both transactional and litigation matters. This role emphasizes contract management, legal research, and document analysis, offering exposure to various legal domains and hands-on experience with a wide range of legal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Prepare, draft, review, and negotiate essential business agreements, including service contracts, NDAs, and amendments, under the supervision of legal counsel.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research across multiple areas such as corporate law, employment regulations, data privacy, and international business practices.
  • Issue Summarization: Summarize both factual and legal issues for clarity and understanding.
  • Documentation Administration: Manage and oversee contract documentation, collaborating with various business units to enhance the contract review process.
  • Survey Coordination: Organize company responses and manage departmental surveys.
  • Template Management: Maintain and assist in updating legal templates, union agreements, and company policies.
  • Document Archiving: Organize and archive documentation related to both completed and ongoing legal cases.
  • Budget Tracking: Monitor and provide updates on departmental budgets, key performance indicators, and legal schedules.
  • Report Drafting: Draft, review, and edit various reports, memoranda, and court-related documents.
  • Communication: Liaise with individuals or groups involved in legal processes to provide necessary information and clarify any issues.
  • Administrative Support: Assist attorneys with general administrative tasks as required.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) Required
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as a paralegal in an in-house legal department, government, or law firm, with a preference for experience in contract administration and corporate transactions.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research, analyze, organize, and summarize complex issues.
  • Familiarity with legal databases, such as Westlaw.
  • Strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
