Position Overview

Vaco is currently collaborating with a local CPA firm to identify a Lead Accounting Specialist. This role involves meticulous oversight of client financial records, making necessary adjustments to journal entries, and evaluating the work of other accounting professionals.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, requiring full on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing bank feeds, recording journal entries, and reconciling financial accounts.
  • Managing deposits, executing after-the-fact payroll, and generating quarterly and annual payroll reports.
  • Compiling Transaction Privilege Tax reports.
  • Collaborating with team members on accounting and tax review procedures.
  • Assisting in tax planning initiatives.
  • Engaging in communication and meetings with clients.
  • Preparing individual and corporate tax filings.
  • Supervising the review and quality assurance of produced work.
  • Effectively managing multiple projects independently.
  • Delivering precise and timely financial and tax information to clients.
