Computed Tomography Specialist

Mandatory Requirements:
The CT Technologist must possess:
- At least 1 year of experience in the field
- BLS certification and AART National registration in computed tomography, as well as state-specific licensing when required
- A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Appropriately position patients for scanning
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
- Maintain accurate patient records
