We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair of sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, and other resources to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operational product manuals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with district staff and customers to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding and obtain customer signatures.
- Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
- Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and travel extensively throughout Eastern Montana and Northern Wyoming.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service and maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
