Job Summary

The Central Supply Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient healthcare environment by providing sterile processing, decontamination, assembly, and transport of medical supplies, equipment, and ancillary services to all requesting departments. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and clean equipment using approved disinfectants, detergents, soaps, and cleaners, and reassemble and test for proper functioning.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment to requesting units, restock bins, and put away extra inventory.
  • Maintain assigned work areas and equipment in a clean and organized condition to maintain required standards for handling sterilized and clean materials.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees to each work assignment area and overall department operation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment a plus
  • Previous experience within shipping/receiving or supply chain a plus
