This physically demanding position requires working under various weather conditions throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize health and safety by adhering to established policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
- Execute one or more plant operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm management, truck loading/unloading, and wastewater treatment.
- Supervise multiple employees and oversee a single plant operation effectively.
- Operate a forklift when necessary to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate paperwork for waste tracking movements, submitting it promptly after operations are completed.
- Ensure that all employees follow and maintain applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Verify that supervised operations staff meets all compliance standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the needs of Clean Harbors.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a related industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more plant operations: drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck offloading/loading, wastewater treatment.
