Ink Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Ink Technician to join our team at Amcor plc. As an Ink Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our packaging products.

• Set up and operate batch ink mixing equipment
• Create and maintain color standards for ink room
• Return, store, and use press returned inks
• Formulate color matches for customer approval
• Mix adhesives and coatings
• Conduct computerized color control
• Clean and maintain ink room and dispensing system
• Maintain and operate solvent distillation equipment
• Assist with inventory of raw materials
• Support Press Assistants and Operators during changeovers

• Experience with effective color matching, color theory, and spectrophotometry
• Experience with press-side ink and color troubleshooting
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient mathematical skills and knowledge of metric conversion
• Ability to accurately see color
• Prior ink, lamination, and adhesive handling experience
• Prior analytical result evaluation experience preferred
• Ability to detect and solve problems affecting product quality, aesthetics, or contamination
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work overtime and weekends
