Role Objective
The primary responsibility is to efficiently manage patient check-ins, verify insurance coverage, confirm or reschedule appointments as necessary, and process payments for services rendered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and check in patients upon arrival.
- Handle incoming calls and coordinate appointment scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and records.
- Understand and adhere to insurance plan guidelines and protocols.
- Exhibit patience and sensitivity towards patient emotions.
- Listen attentively to patients and healthcare professionals, following directives from dentists or supervisors.
- Verify insurance information for patients.
- Ensure all record-keeping requirements are completed accurately.
- Submit claims to insurance providers.
- Inform the Office Manager of any equipment issues or safety concerns.
- Participate in morning meetings, chart reviews, and regular office discussions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations, as well as state and federal OSHA laws, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding information, with the capability to present information effectively to patients.
- Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions, whether written or verbal.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with dental management software is preferred.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
- Prior experience in a dental office is preferred but not mandatory.
- Training will be provided.

Work Schedule:
