About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Manager to join our team at MN International Enterprises. As a key member of our structural design engineering firm, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining Revit in our Studio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement BIM Standards: Create, maintain, and enforce BIM standards, templates, and manuals to ensure consistency and efficiency in our design process.
  • Lead the Drafting Team: Manage and mentor our internal drafting and BIM team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Template Development and Maintenance: Create or adjust templates, families, schedules, and other BIM-related assets to meet our project needs.
  • BIM Manual Updates: Regularly update and maintain BIM-related manuals to ensure our team has access to the latest information and best practices.
  • Support and Adherence: Provide support with day-to-day BIM inquiries and ensure adherence to procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Active Project Participation: Actively work on projects, modeling, and detailing to ensure our designs meet the highest standards.
  • BIM Management for Multistoried Projects: Assist in the management of BIM for multistoried building projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and data exchange.
  • Liaison with Design Engineers and Clients: Liaise with in-house design engineers and clients (Architects) to understand the design flow process and efficiently apply BIM in design.
  • Coordinating Design and Construction Document Information: Coordinate the delivery of BIM-related design and construction document information with Architects and MEP Engineers.
  • Site-Based BIM Tools Management: Manage site-based BIM tools, including BIM360, to ensure efficient data management and collaboration.
  • Quality Control and Technical Leadership: Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards, while offering technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to employees.
  • Internal BIM Meetings and Progress Updates: Organize and lead internal company-wide BIM meetings and provide progress updates to the team.
  • Liaison with Software Vendors: Liaise with software vendors when required to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Corruption Detection and File Size Management: Conduct routine audits of project files for corruption detection and file size management.
  • Template Database Review: Conduct review of template databases to correct and update for redundancy and proper implementation.
  • Strategic Meetings with External Clients: Attend strategic meetings with external clients to ensure a BIM execution plan is agreed to and followed, providing feedback when needed.
  • CAD Output Management: Assist with CAD output management, layering, and file structuring for basic CAD management duties.
  • Hardware Upgrades and Troubleshooting: Coordinate needed hardware upgrades with IT and troubleshoot problems as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
  • 5+ Years of Experience: Must have 5+ years of experience as an in-house BIM Specialist.
  • Previous BIM Experience: Must have previous experience working and implementing BIM in an engineering firm.
  • Revit and AutoCAD Proficiency: Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Construction Drawing Knowledge: Understanding the basics of construction drawings for building structures.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to effectively work with colleagues in a small business setting.
  • Problem-Solving and Initiative: Complex and proactive problem-solving, with the ability to take initiative, manage competing initiatives, and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, developing working relationships both internally and externally.
