Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Park Maintenance Supervisor III to join our team at the City of Boca Raton. As a key member of our Recreation Services department, you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of our parks and related facilities, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained for our community to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of maintenance workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks.
  • Inspect maintenance, repair, and construction sites to ensure compliance with work plans and regulations.
  • Coordinate the use of equipment, materials, and personnel to achieve maximum effectiveness and economy.
  • Monitor contractors performing park maintenance work or construction to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Assist with athletic field maintenance, mowing, and other activities as needed.
  • Participate in employee evaluations, budget preparation, and monitoring.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited junior college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of experience in park or general maintenance work.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State Pesticide Applicator License within six months of employment.
  • Valid State of Florida Class E driver's license with no more than six points in the last three years.
