Job OverviewThe Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments is seeking highly qualified professionals to serve on the Board of Social Work. This esteemed board regulates the practice of social work in the District of Columbia, ensuring the highest standards are met. Estimated Salary RangeThe estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

ResponsibilitiesThe Board consists of 5 members, including 3 licensed social workers, 1 social worker from any of the four licensing categories, and 1 consumer member. Your responsibilities will include regulating the practice of social work, reviewing applications, and participating in monthly meetings and subcommittee tasks.

QualificationsTo be eligible, you must be a licensed social worker with at least three years of experience practicing in the District. The consumer member must be at least 18 years old, not a health professional, and not have a household member who is a health professional.

Time CommitmentThis is a part-time role, requiring attendance at monthly board meetings and participation in subcommittee tasks as required. If you are passionate about social work and governance, we encourage you to apply.
