The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in assisting customers with tire replacements, repairs, and automotive mechanical services at the service counter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming phone inquiries, provide information, take messages, or direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage with customers in person or over the phone to deliver information about our offerings and assess their requirements.
- Prepare accurate estimates for replacements and repairs, detailing parts costs and labor.
- Assess the condition of customers' tires, checking for wear patterns, tread depth, alignment issues, and potential mechanical problems.
- Communicate findings clearly to customers and suggest suitable options for repair or replacement.
- Generate work orders within our system.
- Ensure precision and attention to detail when processing and entering service tickets.
- Assist with tire handling and delivery logistics as necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with recordkeeping and reporting systems.
- Experience in a tire and mechanical services environment is required.
- Prior customer service and sales experience is a plus.
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
