Job Title: Vascular Technologist PRN

Job Summary:

The Vascular Technologist PRN will be responsible for performing non-invasive and invasive vascular procedures, including carotid, venous, renal, and arterial doppler procedures. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vascular procedures, including venous ablation and sclerotherapy
  • Work closely with healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures
  • Utilize open, professional communication to interact with physicians, patients, guests, and other health team members
  • Handle confidential information regarding patient activities
  • Perform equipment checks and QC procedures, and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor
  • Maintain adequate supply of materials for Radiology
  • Attend required staff meetings and conferences
  • Review performance and ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, and other regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Completion of an approved ultrasound technology education program or ARDMS-recommended relevant work experience
  • Registered Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI registry in Vascular Ultrasound (RVS)
  • Preferred: One year of experience performing adult vascular exams, Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), post-primary certification in Sonography, Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Department of State Health Services
