This role not only involves repair technician duties but also includes being a vital team member responsible for promoting and selling all products related to the Batteries Plus Bulbs operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Sales Associate - Customer Service Tasks:

  • Assist both retail and commercial clients in selecting batteries and light bulbs. (training provided)
  • Replace batteries in various devices including vehicles, watches, key fobs, and cell phones. (training provided)
  • Ensure proper inventory management by stocking and organizing shelves.
  • Encourage add-on sales and upselling of products.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the store.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Repair cell phones, tablets, and other electronic devices as required.
  • Handle the receiving, packing, and shipping of these devices.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 3-6+ months of prior device repair or customer service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and the ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple commitments effectively; prioritize tasks, follow up, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; a strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to inform, teach, and train others.
  • Preferred technical writing skills.

The working environment is typical of a retail setting. This position requires regular use of hands to handle electronic products and frequent use of computers and office equipment, as well as tools. Lifting requirements include 20-40 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally, and more than 50 lbs infrequently.
