Travel Psychiatric Nurse RN Job Opportunity

At American Medical Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Travel Psychiatric Nurse RN to join our team. As a Travel Psychiatric Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a state psychiatric hospital with a mix of forensic psychiatric and developmentally disabled patients.

Job Details:
  • Pay Rate: $2,162 - $2,362 per week
  • Schedule: 7 to 7, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
  • Available Shifts: 2 12's and 2 8's (Shift Times: 7a-3:30p & 7a-7:30p / 3p-11:30p & 11a-11:30p/ or 11p-7:30a & 7p-7:30a), 4 shifts per week
  • Start Date: Orientations are held monthly on the 10th. If 10th fall on a weekend or holiday, orientation will start on the next business day

As a Travel Psychiatric Nurse RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed. You will also administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols, monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, and collaborate with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a corrections or similar setting
  • Licensure: Valid RN license and willingness to obtain VA and/or compact licensure
