State Psychiatric / Correctional RN Job Details:- Pay Rate: $2,162 - $2,362 per week
- Schedule: 7 to 7, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
- Available Shift: 2 12's and 2 8's (Shift Times: 7a-3:30p & 7a-7:30p / 4 shifts per week
- Located In: Staunton, Virginia
- Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain VA and/or compact licensure.
As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric/ correctional care setting, you'll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of correctional staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
- Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
- Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
- Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
