Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competently perform radiology procedures to produce accurate and high-quality images.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through effective communication and patient assessment.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and policies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • Perform specific procedures and help orient other staff to the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist and evidence of application for CRT (may not begin work until the CRT is verified online).
  • OR CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is being performed).
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Capable of performing routine radiographic examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing assignments and working within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may regularly work with hazardous drugs identified by NIOSH for purposes of USP 800.
