Position Overview:

Effectively conducts standard and advanced radiologic imaging procedures to generate high-quality diagnostic images for medical professionals involved in the assessment, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of health conditions.

Operates autonomously, applying sound judgment and honed clinical expertise to perform safe and accurate procedures, ensuring timely delivery of precise results.

Establishes trust and collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members through proficient patient evaluation, diligent observation, and clear communication.

Complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, standards, policies, and procedures to maintain patient privacy and safety while providing exceptional care. May also take on specific procedural responsibilities and assist in orienting new staff within the department.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire

RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required by the affiliate

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:


Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging principles, procedures, views, and equipment, with experience in responding to emergencies and various hospital situations.


Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations along with a foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including those without medical backgrounds.


Well-developed organizational and time management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and work within established protocols and scientific methods to meet objectives and deadlines.


Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and relevant information systems (Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), EPIC, and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).

Demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Identifies, assesses, and resolves standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.

Ensures the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).

Fosters collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Pay Range:
$49.96 to $62.44 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.

This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs.

Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
