Location

This role is fully remote within the Bank's operational area.

The employee will engage in full-time remote work, with occasional attendance at in-person meetings as necessary, while the primary responsibilities are conducted remotely.


Requirements

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a business-related discipline is mandatory, with a preference for Accounting or Finance majors.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Federal Bank Examiner, Loan Review, or Credit Analysis role is essential.


Preferred certifications include BAI Loan Review Certification or RMA Credit Risk Certification.

Job Overview

SUMMARY:


Under the guidance of the Director of Loan Review, this position will support the independent and impartial assessment of the loan portfolio's quality, the sufficiency of loan documentation, and the efficiency of loan administration processes.

The role involves effective communication of review outcomes, both verbally and in writing.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

A collaborative team player is essential.

Must possess the ability to present information effectively to management and various employee levels within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Possess comprehensive knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, banking regulations, and compliance to assist in evaluating credit risk and monitoring adherence to loan policies and applicable laws.

Aid in identifying and assessing credit, legal, and strategic risks associated with lending activities.

Evaluate the collectability of credit extensions by reviewing customer financial data, collateral information, and payment history. Assign appropriate risk grades to indicate the relative risk of default or loss. Recommend corrective measures to facilitate the resolution or management of problematic situations.

Assess the adequacy of loan and collateral documentation and the effectiveness of loan administration practices.

Review commercial credits of varying types and complexities.

Demonstrate the ability to lead exit meetings for unit reviews.

Work under the supervision of the Loan Review Department Manager.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


Given the highly regulated nature of the banking industry, you are expected to gain and maintain proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations applicable to your conduct and responsibilities.

Completion of all assigned compliance training in a timely manner is also expected.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Ability to utilize provided tools effectively in fulfilling job responsibilities.

Develop a solid understanding of commercial lending, including collateral documentation, accepted practices, and financial analysis skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements and legal documents.

Ability to prepare reports for management that conform to established style and format.

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret a variety of technical and financial information and manage both subjective and concrete variables.
