Job Overview

General Purpose:
The primary responsibility is to accurately record all transactions, including payments made in-store, via mail, or through delivery. This role involves managing the cash register and addressing customer inquiries, processing orders, and verifying customer references. A significant portion of the role, approximately 40%, is dedicated to enhancing sales through customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Facilitate sales by matching customers with suitable products, completing order forms, confirming orders, and scheduling delivery times.
  • Create and maintain a detailed file for each customer, ensuring all information is current.
  • Complete rental agreements and input relevant data into the system.
  • Prepare deliveries in advance, ensuring readiness at least one hour prior to scheduled times, and assist in optimizing delivery routes.
  • Maintain returned merchandise in a clean and ready state within 48 hours of return.
  • Ensure the showroom is clean and that all products are properly tagged, functional, and displayed correctly.
  • Dedicate the first two hours of each day to showroom upkeep, including cleanliness and pricing accuracy.
  • Ensure all pricing aligns with company standards.
  • Maintain awareness of advertising initiatives and ensure promotional materials are consistently updated.
  • Understand the monthly advertising strategy and effectively communicate it to customers to support sales.
  • Follow up with customers post-delivery to confirm satisfaction within three days.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory documentation, including remote controls and manuals.
  • Assist management in developing innovative strategies to attract new customers and secure agreements.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a retail setting.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to seventy-five pounds.

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and coordination, with a solid understanding of electronics and repair processes.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capability to handle customer and associate interactions effectively.
  • Post-training knowledge of all electronic and mechanical products in inventory.

Work Environment:
This role involves working in various settings, including the store, field, and customer locations. The job requires considerable walking, standing, bending, and lifting. The nature of the work may necessitate finding alternative solutions and managing the pressures of multiple tasks and changes. Additional hours may be required outside of standard business hours, and travel between locations may be necessary.


Emotional and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to manage the emotional and mental stress associated with customer interactions.
  • Use of a hand truck for merchandise movement.

Work is performed in diverse conditions, including transporting items across various surfaces and navigating stairs and narrow spaces. Driving in different weather conditions and exposure to various environmental factors is expected.


Participation in company training sessions may be required.
