Key Responsibilities of the Patient Engagement Coordinator include:
- Welcome patients upon arrival, adhering to the organization's customer service standards.
- Coordinate patient appointments, confirm attendance, and inform patients of any required documentation (such as co-pays or necessary paperwork).
- Perform data entry into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Complete financial documentation, ensuring all necessary forms are accurately filled out.
- Verify insurance and demographic details at each visit, updating records as needed.
- Collect co-payments when applicable.
- Answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Direct calls and messages to the appropriate team members.
- Monitor the waiting area to ensure timely patient flow.
- Review provider schedules daily for any updates.
- Receive daily reports for information on patients with upcoming appointments.
- Balance daily transactions and submit collected payments to the designated supervisor.
- Distribute daily mail.
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby/waiting area.
- Travel to various clinic locations as necessary.
This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits. The working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to accommodate varying shifts.
