This role encompasses various services, including primary care, dental, behavioral health, and specialist appointments. The PEC operates in a dynamic environment, necessitating ongoing interactions with both colleagues and patients.

Key Responsibilities of the Patient Engagement Coordinator include:

  • Welcome patients upon arrival, adhering to the organization's customer service standards.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, confirm attendance, and inform patients of any required documentation (such as co-pays or necessary paperwork).
  • Perform data entry into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Complete financial documentation, ensuring all necessary forms are accurately filled out.
  • Verify insurance and demographic details at each visit, updating records as needed.
  • Collect co-payments when applicable.
  • Answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Direct calls and messages to the appropriate team members.
  • Monitor the waiting area to ensure timely patient flow.
  • Review provider schedules daily for any updates.
  • Receive daily reports for information on patients with upcoming appointments.
  • Balance daily transactions and submit collected payments to the designated supervisor.
  • Distribute daily mail.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lobby/waiting area.
  • Travel to various clinic locations as necessary.

This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits. The working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to accommodate varying shifts.
