Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Employment Standards (At the time of application):

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

ESSENTIAL:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required
AND the completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college or university; or an Associate's degree or higher, or successful completion of a local assessment examination.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children diagnosed with autism. Training in Behavioral and Educational Interventions specific to Autism is necessary.

CERTIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL:
Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

AND

  • Official college transcript demonstrating the completion of forty-eight (48) units from an accredited institution, or an Associate's degree or higher, OR successful completion of a local assessment examination that complies with the standards of No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification
